Meeting on 14th September 2010
This meeting was unusual. For the first time in the history of the club, we have a special session where the winner of the club humorous speech contest, delivered his speech again in the club and the club members evaluated him on different areas. This replaced the tabletopics session. The photos below captured the moments at this meeting forever.
The President opening the meeting.
The VPE explaining the DCP goals for the club.
The TOE gesturing as he opens his session.
Our Humorous speech contestant delivering his speech. He confessed he was very nervous, with all the members waiting to disect him.
ACG Lee Kah Tor evaluated Robert on gesture.
GT Singam evaluated on vocal.
TM Chandran evaluated on content.
CC Indra thought the speech was not humorous enough.
CC Kala gave her opinion too.
ACG Lee Kah Tor stood up to give his comments again.
TM Dharma couldn't resist giving his opinions.
Our in house Dr, stood up and gave his non-medical opinion.
Not to be left out, TM Chandran spoke what was on his mind.
TM Sukumaran stood up to say he thought the speech was humorous, for he was listening to it for the first time, unlike others.
CC Indra's husband, stood up to give his own opinion for Robert to improve.
After a hard brain storming session, it was time to refill with "RON 95 petrol" and relax before the next brain storming session.
This definitely was not the pasar malam being invited to our club meeting. It was TM Kay Ku explaining the various types of fabrics and she came armed with her husband's shirts. The size (XL) fits me and I was actually tempted to steal one home, especially the Durban branded one.
TM Vallie gave a speech honouring DTM Robert Tan. It was so real, complete with inviting the President to give away the award to Robert.
CC Kala evaluated on Kay Ku's speech.
CC Chua Eu Chieh did evaluation for CC Vallie.
Language Evaluator Dharma, evaluated on the standard of English used at the meeting.

Listening intention
When we listen with the intent to understand others, rather than with the intent to reply, we begin true communication and relationship building. Opportunities to then speak openly and to be understood come much more naturally and easily.
