Gila Gila Durian Orchard visit on the 25th June 2016

A Gila Gila visit to a Durian Orchard in Semenyih was organised for PD Toastmasters Club members on the 25th June 2016.  
Albert Yong the owner of the orchard explaining the history of the farm before giving us a horticultural lessons of durians. 

Other fruits like dokong, tupusan, rambutans, jackfruits, manggis and bananas also available

PDTMC CSR program for rural students from estates on 17th April 2016

A group of PDTMC members doing their bit to help disadvantaged rural students from the estates. Ladang Sengkang School in Port Dickson managed to get 2 retired ex-school teachers to donate a water cooler to improve the life of students there.

PD TMC Members' Social Responsibilities

A few of PD Toastmasters Club members, namely, Amy Siew, Robert Tan and Chandran helped a group of hardcore poor students near Port Dickson to improved on their communication skills.

The committee deliberate on a few matters namely a) 'Presidential Distinguish Club' goals
b) Increase of semi-annual fees c) Incoming 2016/2017 Committee.

The club is on track to achieve the Presidential Distinguish Club award. With the gung ho spirit of the club's members, we are sure we should reach the maximum 10 points in no time at all.

Due to increased in fees by TI to USD45 semi annually and food and rental charges, the club's semi annual fees will be increased accordingly. The amount will be announced by the Acting President Yohan in the coming meeting.

Acting President Yohan was asked to continue as President in the new term to ensure continuity in the club. He will select his own committee.

Club International Speech & Table Topics Contest, held on 25th February 2014 at RSUC

This club event was successfully held with two participating in the International Speech and five in Table Topics. Our Treasurer, TM Kay Ku started off the contest in place of our VPE who, unfortunately was temporarily sidelined. Dilaasha showed much enthusiasm and spirit in talking about "Living Dangerously", challenging us to consider options outside our comfort zones while Indra gave a polished delivery, starting with a story on "Little Acts of Kindness". Our five Table Topics contestants were challenged to elaborate on "Don't Judge a Book by its Cover", an easy topic with wide possibilities for discussion.
