Meeting on 23rd November 2010

The President was caught in a bad jam in KL and could not make it on time . The task then went to the Vice President to open the meeting.

Vice President Indra opened the meeting.

TM Kala was the Toastmaster of the evening.

TM Yeoh Lian Geok was tabletopics master.

TM G T Singam was the first to be called upon to speak.

Then it was TM Shaharin's turn.

TM Ramesh was next.

Veteran Pro TM Stephen Francis was not spared.

Another Pro TM Rosa gesturing during her topic.

TM Kay Ku make it on time with her husband, The President, to the meeting and was quickly called upon for Tabletopics.

The President himself was also bombarded with a tabletopic question.

With Tabletopics session over, it was time for Tabletopics Evaluator, TM Vallie to evaluate.

TM Harold tried his best to humour the crowd.

Time to tuck in the food. Due to some technical problems at the kitchen, poor Kenneth had to wait quite some time for his food. Thousand apologies my friend.

Into the the prepared speech session, TM Chandran was the first to speak. He was doing a speech on vocal variety.

TM Kenneth was next. He was also doing a speech on vocal variety.

TM Amy Siew told us how her husband complain he couldn't breathe. Moral of her story: You better have lots of money stacked up if you want to go to private hospital. They cost a bomb.

The General Evaluator was TM DR Subhassh.

TM Lee Kah Tor was the first to evaluate and he evaluated TM Chandran. He felt not much vocal variety were articulated.

TM Tan Lai Hock evaluated TM Kenneth. He felt the topic didn't give the speaker much room to practise vocal variety.
TM Stephen Francis evaluated TM Amy Siew. He was happy with what he heard and saw.

TM Harold evaluated on the standard of language used for the night. Beautiful phrases were picked and errors were pointed out.

TM Kat counted the number of "ahs". True to her style, she caught so many Toastmasters uttering "ahs".

TM Indra kept time for us. She said she was not good at this job. I thought she did fine........

TM Dr Subhassh delivering his General Evaluator's report. "The man should at least come in their long sleeved shirt and a tie..................... "

The President who missed the opening, was there to close the meeting. He is always so well dressed. Ermmmm....... so handsome looking. No wonder he captured Kay's heart.

It was full house again this time. There were no empty seats. However, missing were TM Sukumaran, TM Chua Eu Chieh, TM Jenny Kuan, TM Robert Tan, TM Indra G, TM Capt Khalid, TM Valentine and TM Zulkarnain. We hope these Toastmasters can make it for the next meeting.

Deepavali themed meeting on 9th November 2010

It was a Deepavali themed meeting and most came dressed in their best sarees and dhotis. Only 11 of us turn up. Regular members like Soo Guan, Kay Ku, Dr Subhassh, Harold, Capt Khalid, Valentine, Chandran, Amy Siew, Kat, Stephen Francis, G T Singam, Robert and Chua Eu Chieh were missing.

We started by lighting up the special kolam created by TM Kala.

The men then gathered to take a snapshot too.

This is the special kolam that makes the meeting so meaningful.

TM Indra stood for the missing President.

TM Vallie was Toastmaster of the evening.

TM Kala was tabletopics master.

TM Lee Kah Tor was the first called upon to speak.

Next it was TM Yeoh Lian Geok.

Tne acting President was not spared either.

Part of the Deepavali mood created.

TM Rosa was so passionate about her topic.

TM Ramesh was Tabletopic Evaluator.

The small turn out allowed us to be seated at one table. It was so cosy and private.

TM Yeoh was Language Evaluator.

TM Rosa counted the number of "ahs".

TM Indra G kept time.

I was told this is paper muruku. It tasted good.

The Best Speaker goes to.............. Wah!!!!! Need to ban her from these awards. Always winning.

The Best Evaluator award goes to ............

It was a great meeting. No doubt, we had a small turnout but the meeting went on well. We all went home happy and satisfied. The small crowd puts less pressure on every one, especially during tabletopics. Nobody complain. All went home smiling.
