Division C term 2010/2011 Appreciation Luncheon on 24 July 2011

The Division C term 2010/2011 organized an Appreciation Luncheon on 24 July 2011, at KampungKu Restaurant, Subang Jaya.

NK Vallie was giving her outgoing Division Governor Speech. She thanked all the AG for their support during her term which enable the Division to receive President Distinguished Division Award for term 2010-2011.

Toastmaster Vallie from Port Dickson Toastmasters club was awarded as the Best Toastmaster for Area C2. Congratulation !

It was a wonderful appreciation lunch by Division C.

12th July 2011 Meeting

Our first meeting for term 2011/12 was held on 12^th July 2011.

The meeting kicked off with the opening address by President Kay Ku, welcoming the members & guests. She shares with us the information on Division C TLI which was held on 9^th July 2011. The Division C theme for this term is “Division C Cares”. President also touched on our clubs theme which is “Unleash Our Potential”. She has confidence that our club members will unleash their potential to a higher level.

Toast Master of the Evening CC Chandran gave us a brief introduction to the history of Toastmasters and revered founder Dr. Ralph C.Smedley. He then explained on the meeting agenda and introduces the role players.

Table Topic Master CC Kenneth Gong………..Simple and sweet question was asked to the members. Everyone spoke their mind on the various topics with not much nervousness…Keep up the good work!!

One of the participants of the Table Topic session. Our President is always chosen for Table Topic. Probably her short story is always entertaining and full of laughter. Look at our YB ….how attentive he is towards President Kay!

IPP Tan Soo Guan was the Table Topic Evaluator. He has a very strong listening skill that he manage to evaluate every participant on the content, gesture and body language.

1^st Session of the meeting ended. We proceed to our fellowship activity which is “Makan Time”…. The aroma of Penang Fried Keow Teow, Fried Rice and Cantonese Yee Mee was soon lingering in the air. The photographer was busy eating that she forgot to take the picture of the delicious dishes….Yummy!!!

Our Yang Berhormat Tan Lai Hock is the General Evaluator for the Day. He manages to evaluate everything that happens on the meeting ……..Very serious General Evaluation.

Chuah evaluating Project speaker Ong Guan Leong. He focused more on the criteria which need to be followed based on the CC Manual. Very impressive Evaluation by Chuah…Keep it up!

Dr. Shubash with his gentle voice evaluated Lady Kat. Everyone was very attentive during this evaluation.

Shaharin was evaluated by Kala. She manages to evaluate in a manner that motivated Shaharin to proceed with his next speech. A well done evaluation…..

Language Evaluator Amy Siew. Everyone will agree that she is one the best Language evaluator. The word of the was “Embark “.

Ah Counter is TM Mizah. She is a new member for our club. She has already has the confidence to do role as Ah Counter and was able to identify many speech crunches by the speaker. Thanks for collecting fund for the club!



Time Keeper Anita. She is a new member of our club. Very fast moving in speech and taking up roles. She demonstrated very good time management. Her report was perfect!

The meeting ended with the award session.

Meeting on 28th June 2011

We had another of our ongoing meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month i.e. on 28th June 2011. These photos freeze those moments forever in time.


The new President started the ball rolling by chairing the meeting. She was armed with lots of news for us.

TM Chua Eu Chieh was Toastmaster of the evening.

TM Kat Lee Lan was the Tabletopics master.

TM Yeoh was the first to be called. She was the "bride" of the night.

TM Chandran was the groom for the "night".

TM Nageswari was the "mother in law".

TM Rosa Phua was the "ex-girlfriend" of Chandran.

TM Kay Ku was the "mother of the bride".

TM Vallie was Tabletopics evaluator.

After the fun during the tabletopics, it was time to take care of the stomach. Time to keep those hungry butterflies in our stomach well fed so that they continue to fly in formation.

After the break, TM Ong Guan Leong was the first to take centre stage with his speech but a technical problem prevented his photos from being shown here. Shown here is the second speaker, TM Masita.

TM Amy Siew did her last Better Speaker series and was promptly rewarded with the title ACS.

TM Kenneth was humour master. Wah he was good, man.

TM Kaladevi was General Evaluator.

DTM Robert evaluated TM Ong Guan Leong.

TM Lee kah Tor evaluated TM Masita.

TM Anita counted the number of "Ahs".

In house Dr Subhassh diagnosed the language problem in the club and promptly prescribed the necessary antibiotics for it.

Best evaluator goes to ........... (Aiya, this guy should be banned forever.)

Time to offer some speaking slot to our neighbouring Division Governor from Malacca.She mesmerised everyone with her eloquent speech.

The President was all smiles as she closes the meeting. It was a meeting well atended and well run. Congrats to all of us who were there. See you at the next meeting.
