Meeting on 14th August 2012

Meeting on the 14th of August started sharp at 7.50pm with the opening speech by our lovely President Amy Siew .

Amy Siew's Speech....."A million Stars and there is always a thousand guitars. They will be playing a different tune at different time but its all music...."

The first Table Topic Speaker was Dr.Shubash,ATMB..."You are a psychiatrist. Your patients confide in you that he murdered someone.How will you react?"...Good Evening everyone..You know the whole world is full with psychiatrict patients.....

The second Table Topic Speaker was President Amy Siew, ACS..."Reality rather than Romance , should be the main reason in choosing a life partner.Do you agree?"...She has given that question to somebody who already passed that......

The third table topic speaker was Chandran,CC.."It is not he accumulation of wealth but the development of ones ability that reflects true ambition.What is your view?"...If you read about world richest people there was one commen trend, they were not interested in the accumulation of wealth.There was only one thing motivating them.They wanted to do something to benefit the community..... 

The fourth table topic speaker was Chua Eu Chieh,ACB.."Some people use their head to display their hairstyle. Do you fall for the hair or what's on the head?"...We are all hairy actually....So at the end of the day it does not matter what is inside or outside ..."

The fifth table topic speaker was Nageswary,ATMB.."Without health life is not life..." Very very true..what a lovely topic...Health is wealth to us

The sixth table topic speaker was Tan Lai Hock,ATMB .."Super natural or ghosly encouters exist .Share your experience" I can tell you ghost exist...Among us there are people who can see ghost..My own son who is 4 years old have the ability to see ghost...We are all going to be a ghost one day..

The seventh table topic speaker was Robert Tan,DTM. "If you are given a chance to be invisible. How would you spend the day"....Why only one day?......

Humour Master of the day was Nages,ATMB

Table Topic Evaluator was IPP Kay Ku,CC and her criteria was - Body Language- Eye contact and Hand Gesture and the flow of the speech

The fist session ended around 8.30pm and everyone proceed to the exciting event which was filling their stomach with delicious food.

The second session of the meeting started with a serious announcement by our founder Tan Lai Hock,ATMB. He requested members to order food by 5pm.Those who invite guest for the meeting were also requested to order on behalf of the guest. This will ensure a smooth arrangement of food during the break.

The first Project Speaker was Hema Cilla,TM presenting her ice breaker speech. What an emotional speech .Well done Hema !!!!

The second Project Speaker was Gopal,TM completing his 10th speech from the Competent Communicator Manual. Congratulation to Gopal..Clap! Clap! Clap!

The third project speaker was Rosa Phua, ACG ...The race is on..Vroooommmmmmm!

 She was banned from being Ah Counter for the sake of the club progress ( just kidding)

There were 9 guest came to our meeting. Some of them even gave a good post to the camerawoman. From their faces we assume they had a great and wonderful time !

 

The meeting ended at 10.15pm with the closing speech by President Amy Siew.

Installation Night on 4 August 2012

PD Toastmasters Club held its Installation Night on 4 August 2012 in Sutera Hotel in Seremban 2. The Orgnising Chair was Chua Eu Chieh ACB who lead his team: Vallie on backdrop, designing of tickets, songs and audio visual. While Irene liaise with the Hotel for the menu, venue and the room arrangement, yours truely try to take pictures and enjoy the event the same time. The committee members whose names were not mention above, who had attended a few meetings, lend a hand and gave suggestions that has helped to put this event a beautiful, entertaining and memorable one. Thank you to all committee members.

Arrival of guest and members: ex-member CS Gan, Chandran, Tan Lai Hock and Stephen Francis who is one of the MC.

IPP Kay Ku gave her farewell speech, farewell to her term as a President.

Area Gov Lee Kah Tor installing the Club Officers for this term 2012/2013, the highlight of this event. Unable to post any picture on the Club Officers lineup for the day because the camerawomen is of of the Club Officer.

TM Koh Soew Pen also the Co MC crooned us a song on Changing partners..

.. the song was so melodious that got some of them to waltz: Div Gov Robert with IPP Kay, while AG Lee Kah Tor with Kat. The latter did not change partners....

TM Tan Ban Yeow sang 'Soldier of Fortune'

Vallie sang 'Save the best for last'.. its was one of the best. The other TM singer was Robert Tan who sang 'Swayed' .... picture is not here but nevertheless requires a mention, for he sang it well.
