Meeting on 11th September 2012

Port Dickson toastmasters first meeting for  the month of September was held on 11th September 2012. The meeting room was packed with full participation of members as well as new cadet from Alam Club. The word of the day was Great!

The meeting started with the opening speech by our beloved president Amy Siew, ACS

 

Toastmaster Irene,CC took the role of the Toastmaster of the Evening. She entertain the audience with important information about Toastmaster's history as well as her personal humour stories.

 

Table Topic Master was Rosa Phua, ACG. She introduce interesting short quote's ."The word of the day is Great.It will be great if you use the word Great . You will make the table topic very Great!"

The first person who volunteered to tackle her question"Make Love not War" was our newly joined member Hafiz

The second question "Hard work never kill anyone"was presented by Mohd Bazli from Alam Club

The third question "Action speaks louder then words" was tackled by Alam Nicole

Next was our members turn. Dr.Shubash answered the following question"A stitch in time save nine"

Then followed by Sukumaran...."Together everone achieve more"

Next was GT Singam" It is no use cry over spilled milk"

Finally the session was ended with Gopal answering the last question" Laughter is a smile with volume turn up"

The Table Topic Evaluator was Capt.Khalid with the criteria for evaluation on eye contact, hand gesture and the content of the speaker

The first session ended. Everyone adjourned for a short break.

The second session started with prepared speeches.

The first speaker for the day was Alam member Nicole. She did her ice breaker speech.

The Second speech also from Alam Club. Farid did his first speech .

The third speaker was Tan Soo Guan, CC . He did his speech from the Entertaining manual.

The last speaker for the day was Ong Guan Leong,CC .

Next was the General Evaluation Session. The GE for the day was our lovely Kat Lee Lan, ACS

The first Speech Evaluator was Robert Tan,DTM

The second speech evaluator was Kay Ku, CC



The third speech evaluator was Chandran,CC

The fourth speech evaluator was Tan Lai Hock,ATMB

The Language Evaluator was Indra G,CC

The Ah Counter was Koh Seow Pen, CC

The Ah Counter of the day was Margerat,CL

The Final Session was the Award giving session.

The Best Table Topic Speaker was Dr.Shubash,ATMB

The Best Evaluator was Founder YB Tan Lai Hock,ATMB

The star of the night was the Best Speaker...It goes to our humorous toastmaster Tan Soo Guan,CC

The meeting ended at 10.15pm with the closing speech by our President
