The VPE Robert Tan DTM started off the meeting by announcing the coming Installation Night on the coming Saturday 17th Aug 2013 at the Allson Klana Resort, Seremban. The theme is Casino Royale, so come dressed a la James Bond to win prizes and enjoy the various attractions laid out.
The VPM Sarojah playing the role of TOE then introduced Toastmasters and ably ran the meeting for the night. Our new TM Lim KC also in his first role as TTM, challenged our members to draw on their reserves as speakers.
TM Nages regaled us with her wish to be brave, to face the future should she be ten years old again. TM Chua EC shared his most challenging choices in life while TM Ong GL's one wish was to enjoy contentment and peace of mind. TM Chandran, with emanating light (see pic) wanted to contribute to charity and compassion if he had a billion dollars. TM Rosa seemed to be capable of carrying the burden of white lies (see pic). Evaluation of the TT speakers was given by Dr Subhassh.
We had three guests, with one from a New Zealand Club who introduced her brother to TM. Our pic also shows our Mama and Daughters group having fun too!
Humour was spontaeously provided by Indra R who told about the Lion who married a mouse and guess what the poor lion turned into! After the break, four prepared speeches were given. TM Amy Siew in her project under the ACG series gave a novel presentation of a radio talk show, roping in TM Chandran as host (see pic).
The speech evaluators who provided their important feedback . . .
