Meeting #1 on 9th July 2013

The start of a new journey began with incoming President TM Chua Eu Chieh unveiling the slogan of "Together We Grow" and pointing out that individual needs and club needs may not always match in all aspects. However, members needs are paramount and all should explore how each of us can fit our individual needs to help the club achieve its goals too.

Our TOE (Toastmaster of the Evening), TM Stepehn Francis then very ably and smoothly took each of us through our needs. Some of these ranged from, "I want to see the Club continue on its strong footing"; "I want to grow in my communication and leaderskills, get out from my comfort zone;" "Enjoy the Toastmastering experience;" "Contribute back to the club;" and a host more.

This was followed by the Table Topics session, helmed by our IPP, TM Amy Siew.

Four Project speeches were delivered, ranging from the inspirational, humorous, philosophical and storytelling of historical personage/event. All were listened to raptly by the audience and evaluated afterwards.

Winners for the night were recognised through these awards.

The General Evaluator, TM Tan Lai Hock summed up the night's proceedings, highlighting some salient points for improvement. Role players must be "properly attired" in keeping with our professional image. Table topics should be short and to the point.

The President closed the meeting by congratulating TM Tan Ban Yeow for being recognised in the 1+1 (member get member) by Toastmasters International and TM Ong Guan Leong for successfully completing his final project for the Advanced Communicator Bronze series.
